Enrollment no GP

Welcome, New Students!

You are invited to start your enrollment with us at any time of the year.

We will help you transfer from your previous school and provide proof of enrollment with us.

2 Enrollment Periods

Your enrollment period will correspond to your country’s academic year.

We offer two enrollment periods. Both are 365 days, so your study year will fit into our 12-month enrollment period.

August 1 - July 31

For the US and other countries whose academic year starts around this time of year.

February 1 - January 31

For countries whose academic year starts around this time of year.

Our Programs

GRADED PROGRAM

K-8 Grade Placement

Kindergarten—Grade 8 students will be placed in the appropriate grade level based on their date of birth.

Elementary and Middle School Grade levels in the US correspond to the following ages:

Age 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13
Grade K 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

Preschool Age 3 and Preschool Age 4 can also be selected for students in countries where the compulsory age is under 5.

High School Admissions

Grades 9-12 students will be placed in the grade level that corresponds to their date of birth and proof of successful completion of previous high school grades.

High School Grade levels in the US correspond to the following ages:

Age 14 15 16 17
Grade 9 10 11 12

For example, to enroll in Grade 11, you must submit proof of successful completion of Grades 9 and 10.

We can help students who cannot provide transcripts from official schools to get credit for those years.

To graduate, students must be at least 17 years old and a half and be enrolled in high school for 4 years.

UNGRADED PROGRAM

Students whose cognitive challenges make a traditional academic progression unrealistic

This pathway is for students whose cognitive or developmental conditions mean that completing a graduation project, earning a high school diploma, or continuing toward higher education is not a realistic path — even on a flexible, self-directed timeline.

WRA provides

  • Official enrollment in a U.S.-accredited private school
  • Annual enrollment letter confirming school registration
  • A Certificate of Completion at the end of their path in lieu of a High School Diploma when the student reaches age 18.

WRA does not provide

  • Academic grades or grade-level placement
  • Standard transcripts *
  • A high school diploma

* In specific cases and depending on local regulations, WRA may consider issuing transcripts after individual review with the family.

If you’re unsure whether this path applies to your child, our team reviews each case individually.

Enrollment Fees

Annual Enrollment Fees

All students pay the annual enrollment fee each year, regardless of the date of enrollment.

Enrollment is open year-round, so students may enroll for any portion of the 365-day enrollment period that corresponds to the academic year of their country.

The fees are:

  • $450 for the first student in the family
  • $75 for each sibling (Siblings must reside at the same address as the first student and the parents.)

Onboarding Fee

New students pay a non-refundable Onboarding Fee of $125 in addition to the Annual Enrollment Fee.

This fee includes reviewing previous school records and participating in a group orientation meeting to ensure success from Day 1.

The Onboarding Fee must be paid if a student leaves West River Academy and later returns without paying for missed years.

First Year Total includes Onboarding Fee plus Annual Fee

  • $125 + $450 = $575 for the first student in the family
  • $125 + $75 = $200 for each sibling (Siblings must reside at the same address as the first student and the parents.)
